France Enters the American Revolutionary War

Following the American victory at Saratoga, treaties of alliance were signed between France and the supporters of independence. France's entry into the war transformed the conflict into an international war. The military, financial, and naval support provided was one of the important factors that influenced the outcome of the war in favor of independence.
