The Treaty of Karlowitz was signed in 1699 between the Ottoman State and the alliance led by Austria, Poland, and Venice.

Concluded as a result of the long wars that followed the Second Siege of Vienna, this treaty caused the Ottomans to suffer significant territorial losses. Karlowitz is regarded as the beginning of the period of decline, as the treaty by which the Ottoman State lost extensive territory for the first time.
